a merry meet by monitor light to all circumspect bonniebonnets..

CONFESSION: last year i challenged the USA magical community to send
forth their very best champions for a transatlantic-ish magical duel.

UK, N.Europe & er, Canada to be represented by myself.

i set up a 'kill zone' (no 'yield' option) and a simple start score:

::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
UK: 1 [first point for initiative]
US: 0
::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

there was a certain interest which amounted to sniffing around the
combat arena, and a bit of shield bashing and sword rattling on
surrounding hills.. but, NOBODY DARED ENTER THE KILL ZONE!!!!

in response to a flood of emails (some from notable net-mags and
others from hard-copy journals) i produced a simple 'press release'
(which saved blistering my two 'typing' fingers.. ahem).

in essence it explained that i won because (like cassius vs george)
my bravery penetrated my opponents er, power.

since then i have suffered from acute boredom!

can any members suggest a cure (i too young to be old:)

john
